Things I’m finding increasingly disturbing about this world we live in.
There are people I absolutely KNOW that if they see ME being assaulted will leap to my defense and probably beat the crap out of my attacker. OTOH, they refuse to acknowledge the systemic racism of our system that would make that defense necessary. And it’s their attitude that perpetuates the increased possibility of that attack. They know ME. I’m not faceless to them. But people they don’t know?
Until we can see everyone as belonging to US and erasing the THEM, we will all continue to live in fear.
Frightening revelation… The world is literally functioning as middle school cliques gone deadly.
